Live it out

For each video, we will respond to the teaching and passage in an embodied way.

This just means that we will do something with our bodies that helps us absorb our video learning into something with the power to transform.

As you “Live it out,” keep in mind:

  • It’s OK if the activity feels a little weird.  Growth happens when we are vulnerable.

  •  You do not have to worry about getting it right.  I promise, there is no right way to do any of these embodied activities.

  • Go slow.  These activities should feel like tilling the relational soil with God, not toiling in the hot sun.  Relax and enjoy the process.

Ready, set, grow.

  • Lord, Help me to love others as you have loved me. Amen

  • This embodied exercise is… a bit on the nose, and has a few options.

    If you are physically able:

    1) Give blood (your local blood blank ALWAYS needs more) OR

    2) Get to work for someone else. Ask around (or on social media) if anyone you know needs help moving, mowing, or anything else that takes real muscle.

If these actions aren’t physically possible (trust me, I get it), get in contact with a local food pantry, find out what they really need, and donate something to help them stock up. Even better if you can get your neighbors involved in your effort.

  • Describe your experience with a single word, and keep the word for your reflection.
