Live it out
For each video, we will respond to the teaching and passage in an embodied way.
This just means that we will do something with our bodies that helps us absorb our video learning into something with the power to transform.
As you “Live it out,” keep in mind:
It’s OK if the activity feels a little weird. Growth happens when we are vulnerable.
You do not have to worry about getting it right. I promise, there is no right way to do any of these embodied activities.
Go slow. These activities should feel like tilling the relational soil with God, not toiling in the hot sun. Relax and enjoy the process.
Ready, set, grow.
-
Lord, Help me to see people the way you see people. Amen.

This is (admittedly) one of the more challenging “Live it Out” tasks in this process, but I figure if the God of the universe can become human, we can host friends for a meal.
Invite a few friends or another family over for a meal and pay careful attention to their needs. What foods do they like? Do they have allergies? Are they board game people?
If your friends think you’re being weirdly attentive, just tell them you’re hosting the meal as a spiritual discipline and really flexing your hospitality muscles on purpose.
Cook and serve what you can giving your cooking ability (mine is QUITE limited) and financial resources, and for one meal, really focus on being a great host.
-
Go around the table, and ask everyone when they felt the most alive that week. Jot down their answers, and save them for reflection. (ALSO SEE “LOVE IT IN” module this week because the meal will cover both sections)
