Live it out

For each video, we will respond to the teaching and passage in an embodied way.

This just means that we will do something with our bodies that helps us absorb our video learning into something with the power to transform.

As you “Live it out,” keep in mind:

  • It’s OK if the activity feels a little weird.  Growth happens when we are vulnerable.

  •  You do not have to worry about getting it right.  I promise, there is no right way to do any of these embodied activities.

  • Go slow.  These activities should feel like tilling the relational soil with God, not toiling in the hot sun.  Relax and enjoy the process.

Ready, set, grow.

  • Lord, Help me to walk alongside you as a partner, and bring me back to life in your very goodness. Amen

  • Visit a local landmark, nature preserve, historical home, cultural center, monument, or really anything that might be marked by placards or have a tour guide (You don’t have to take the tour if that’s not your thing).

Make an effort to explore and learn more about the place you call your home. Take pictures like a tourist and jot down (in your phone’s notes app or in a journal) what you learned (and especially what surprised you) from your experience.

Don’t worry, there is no secret test at the end of this experience. So bring a snack, lean into what genuinely interests you, and enjoy the visit.

  • Please, don’t write a report on what you learned. Just keep a record of 2-3 things that surprised you and your pictures for consideration in your final reflection.
